A: MIIAtech offers efficient business solutions to companies through the application of our natural language processing technologies.
Our key business targets for 2011 are: CRM companies and HR/recruitment companies.
For 2012, we plan to develop solutions for other markets, such as government, telecom, and online auctioning.
Q : is Tautona the same technology as text mining ?
A : Tautona goes much further than text mining, and has a fundamentally different ‘approach’. Where text mining only searches for a particular word or set of words within a text, Tautona will read text and return the meaning of that text, enabling an action to be performed based upon the understanding of that text.
The limits of traditional text mining are the building of text categories and clusters, the limited strength of the patterns and the costs and limitations of working with annotated learning corporations.
Q: What is MIIAtech’s pricing model?
A : Our Pricing model is based on SAAS (Software As A Service) and will consist of non-recurring ‘Set-up and Integration Fees’ (i.e. installation, implementation and hardware server license) plus recurring ‘Subscription Fees’ (i.e. hosting, support, usage fee and license fees).
We also plan to launch a cloud model in 2012.
Q : How is Tautona more advanced than similar technologies in the market ?
A : Tautona extracts the meaning from language better than other technologies through deep linguistic analysis and reasoning. It works with both structured and unstructured information - effectively delivering a single point of understanding to the worlds of database and text. It is also cross-lingual and allows questions to be asked in English while a search is conducted in a foreign language database (e.g. Chinese) with the answer returned in English.
Q : Do you have technical papers on Tautona ?
A : MIIAtech released a whitepaper on Tuatona in July 2011 called, “Leveraging Natural Language Processing and Semantic Search to Improve Enterprise Searches.” It’s available upon request.
